Power Forward Event at Madison Square Garden

I can't begin to express how ecstatic I am to perform at the Power Forward charity concert.  I will be performing along-side Black Thought of the Roots as well as with Maya Azucena, Nneka Best.  Hosting the first ever Power Forward event will be renowned actress Regina Hall, who is best known for her roles in Think Like a Man, the Scary Movie series, and Love and Basketball.

This event is the result of a strategic partnership between GCF and The New York Liberty who share a common goal of spreading awareness about women’s health and empowerment. Power Forward specifically addresses the importance of using sports to increase physical activity and reducing obesity among impoverished women and girls.

Together the NY Liberty and GrassROOTS are working to improve the health and well-being of families through the H.E.A.L program. Health Education And Literacy (HEAL) is a family program that teaches both parents and children the joys and health benefits of yoga and cooking together, all while improving families health literacy. H.E.A.L. welcomes parents with children (K-3rd grade) to join us in practicing Ancient Kemetic yoga to experience the benefits of increased focus, agility and higher energy: keys to educational and professional achievement. PLJ Promo

So I realized that for the past 4 months, I've been raving about my tour in Cape Verde, but I have not released any footage from the Tour!  Check out this promo video which includes som video from the tour!

R-N-Zouk

Durin my tour in Cape Verde, I fell in love with a certain style of music called ZOUK.  I fell in love so much, that I decided to do a remix tape, using different songs performed by artist in the states, but over Zouk instrumentals produced by yours truly.  Check out R-N-Zouk.  And YES, that is the lovely Amber Rose on the front Cover...

Sodade D Bo

During my tour in Cape Verde, I was blessed with something that we take for granted in the States:  TIME.  After coming back to the States, I was able to cleverly right a record about how much I missed Cabo Verde, and my time there.  Check out the video and download the song for free!!!

Jamaican Cape Verdean

Over the summer of 2011, I had the priveledge to tour the Cape Verde Islands with my brothers Chachi Carvalho and DJ Therion, along with the Energy Crew.  It was such an incredible experience, and truly life changing.  Here is a photo taken by To Gomes to capture the experience!  Thank you for "Time-Freezing" the event!  For more photos of the event taken by To Gomes, please visit my photo page.

Incredible Photography

I have always been a fan of experienced "Time-Freezers."  They are keen at capturing the greatest moments of our lives.  Here is a great shot captured by Michael Christofaro during Providence, RI's 375th Birthday Celebration.  To view the other photos, visit my photo page.  Enjoy.

"Lowe Down Live"

Presently, I'm working on a short EPK that I can send to booking agents.  As it stands now, it's getting harder for me to book my own performances.  Here is a sample of a performance that will be included in the EPK.  My band "i95" and myself performing Lowe Down.  Enjoy!

Unthinkable/Ocean State of Mind

This past weekend I had a the opportunity to perform at new Roots Cafe in Providence, RI.  It was great to be one of the first artist to step on the stage.  Here is a video of Chachi performing his verses from "Ocean State of Mind" and then performing my cover of Alicia Key's Unthinkable.
